Nutty J’s Nut Shack was founded in San Diego, CA in 2003. Originally branded under a different name, the idea was put to life in San Diego stadiums and arenas. A following soon developed with the patrons of these venues and Nutty J’s was off to see tremendous growth. Through this, new development began to emerge ultimately leading to franchising and distribution. The name was changed to Nutty J’s Nut Shack to give a more mass appeal as the company prepared to go nationwide. In 2008, franchises of Nutty J’s Nut Shack were for sale.
